Resilient societies

Given the risk of great wildfires, it is crucial for the public to be informed about fire risks, understand how to respond, and know the steps to take to minimize the social, economic, and environmental impacts. Therefore, we need communities that are adapted and resilient to wildfires, recognizing that they are a natural phenomenon we must learn to coexist with.

What we do

✔️ Projects and creation of communities resilient to fire in the wildland urban interface (WUI).

✔️Participatory processes to prioritize the protection of certain areas against wildfires.

✔️Design of tools and strategies to share knowledge between communities and promote processes of mitigation and adaptation to wildfire risk.

✔️Focusing on vulnerable communities to facilitate knowledge and tools to create communities resilient to the risk of wildfire.

✔️Development of an education and awareness programme on wildfires to promote a change in the social perception of fires.
