Over six months, more than sixty experts from the forest fire community, coordinated by the Pau Costa Foundation, were working to identify the most urgent needs and commitments that must be made. to deal with large forest fires. To draw up some conclusions, in March 2023 they met in Madrid for two intense days, at the “Forum for debate and action proposals for the management of large wildfires in Spain.”
Last June 15, we share the conclusions of this hard work simultaneously in Barcelona, (Can Massana, Montserrat) and at the Museum of Natural Sciences of Madrid, where we present the “Declaration on the management of large fires forestry in Spain”.
In order to bring closer and share the Declaration in different Autonomous Communities, on September 14 we presented the declaration in Sóller (Mallorca).
Continuing with this purpose, now it is the turn of the Islands of Gran Canaria. On October 6 we will take the Declaration to San José del Álamo (Las Palmas de Gran Canarias).
Activity organized by Fenix and Cabildo de Gran Canaria
