Pau Costa Foundation (PCF) is an open framework to create and share knowledge and experience, through an international pool of experts related to wildfires and crisis management.
Pau Costa Foundation is advocating a deep change in the perception of landscape fire by the society, divulgating the knowledge on fire ecology, facilitating fire management at landscape level and bridging the gap between research, practitioners and society.
PCF also aims and serves as information coordination platform and contact point to exchange and transfer knowledge in the field of fire ecology research and operational fire management and crisis management.
These ideas are the main mission of Pau Costa Foundation, and the reason to organize the International Congress on Prescribed Fires, as a place to foster the knowledge sharing on prescribed fires and an opportunity to cover the gap between researchers, fire experts and technicians.
